Class of 1962
We are definitely the little old ladies sitting on the side rows now. So please come to our 60th reunion June 3 through June 5, 2022.
Lana Mueller Jordan and Sandy Still have been working hard to plan a fun-filled weekend. Thanks to Linda Lentz Hubert, a dinner at Druid Hills Golf Club is being planned for Friday night after the Back to Class sessions and the Faculty Meet and Greet event at the college. There will also be an All Alumnae Dance party and Reception at the college that night that you can attend after our dinner.
On Saturday we will have our class meeting in the morning, followed by the Alumnae Convocation and the Anna Young Club Luncheon hosted by the college. Lana and Sandy are planning a dinner on campus Saturday night. On Saturday afternoon, the college will have other activities such as a Scottie Marketplace of items made by Scotties, tours of Campbell Hall, Rebekah Scott Hall, the president’s home, and possibly Agnes Scott “Main” Hall which is under construction, as well as a Frances Winship Walters Society Coffee for alumnae who support the future of the college through their estate plans or other legacy gifts.
You will be able to stay in the dorms if you wish; the process and cost will be conveyed in February. If you prefer to stay in a hotel, the college has blocks of rooms at three local hotels. Continue to check the Alumnae Weekend website regularly for updates.
You will be getting lots of information from the college and Lana and Sandy after the holidays. So lose your Covid fifteen pounds, whip out your red and white outfit from 2017, and come join us. We are looking forward to renewing long time friendships, lots of laughs and lots of memories.
Love to all,
Jan Whitfield Hughen
Lebby Rogers Neal
Class Vice President
P.S. Please email me a tentative RSVP for Friday night at email@example.com. If you do hope to attend, please also let me know if you will be bringing a spouse or friend. Lana and Sandy need to know what size room to reserve at Druid Hills.
P.P.S. Please consider making a donation to the Fund for Agnes Scott if you have not already done so at give.agnesscott.edu. Beverly Kenton Askren says that the early response from our class has been good. We would love to have a large percentage of our class making donations.
