What a challenging year 2020 has been! We hope all of you are doing well and looking forward to catching up with classmates as we move into 2021, our 50th reunion year. It’s been a while since 1967 when we chose Jiminy Cricket as our mascot. He was a snappy dresser in a top hat whom we thought was a good representation of our class style, friendships and social awareness when he said, “Let your conscience be your guide.”
What has changed at ASC? We are sure you have seen the amazing accolades in US News & World Report: Most Innovative Liberal Arts College in 2019, 2020 and 2021; Best First Year Experience in all Colleges and Universities in the U.S.; and as a tribute to our faculty, No. 2 in Best Undergraduate Teaching compared with all liberal arts colleges. The faculty is different from those we treasured, like Dr. Pepperdene, Dr. Brown, Dr. Drucker, and many more, but you can tell from the rankings that we still have faculty with outstanding teaching ability.
We hope you will join us for virtual alumni weekend, especially our class meeting on Saturday, June 5th at 2p.m. and our class social hour Saturday, June 5th at 7p.m. Make sure to check out the rest of the virtual alumnae weekend activities.
As we plan for the class giving part of our reunion, remember that the percentage of our class participation is more important than the amount that you are able to give. You will be hearing more about that very soon.
We have missed you all and will be looking forward to establishing creative ways to rekindle class connections in 2021!
